The Mids were driving late in a that the Rice Owls had fought back to take the lead in with a FG, and on an option keeper as Black Horvath found the lane for a first down and to keep the drive going for game-tying field goal or go-ahead TD, but the ball was jarred loose for one of his 5 fumbles (3 lost) and put the game to bed for the Midshipmen. In an overall, very competitive and well-rounded game, Navy was paced by Brandon Chatham with 198 yards rushing off 16 carries and 2 touchdowns. Great game coach, spirited bout.
