NDL: S32W1 - Baylor (35) at Georgia Southern (10)

Baylor Opens the Season with a W

Article By: Cnasty

The Baylor Bears cruised to a dominant 35-10 victory over the Georgia Southern Eagles on Saturday, putting together a complete performance on both sides of the ball.

Baylor set the tone early with a balanced offensive attack, jumping out to a 21-3 halftime lead. The offense found success both through the air and on the ground, while the defense kept the Eagles in check for most of the game.

The Bears’ ground game was especially effective, controlling the tempo and wearing down the Georgia Southern defense. The defense, meanwhile, applied steady pressure and forced two turnovers, including a key interception in the third quarter that halted a potential Eagles comeback.

Georgia Southern struggled to find rhythm against Baylor’s fast and physical defense. Their lone touchdown came late in the fourth quarter when the game was already out of reach.

With the win, Baylor builds momentum heading into conference play, while Georgia Southern looks to regroup after a tough home loss.
