The Vanderbilt offense rolled up over 500 yards of offense in a 35-25 win over MTSU. Sedrick Alexander led the charge with 212 yards and 3 TDs on the ground. Alexander added another receiving TD. Diego Pavia went 8/10 passing, but still managed to turn the ball over twice. He now has three fumbles on the year. Nate Johnson continues to get more playing time as Pavia's struggles to hold onto the ball continues.
The Vanderbilt defense did enough to win. They are still giving up too many points. MTSU was able to pick on the Vandy secondary, but the defense held up just enough. The Dores were able get their first win of the season.
