In a nail biter of a game, Penn State finds themselves coming out on top with a field goal for the win!
Last season, the "Nittier Lions" (Thank Ray Lewis), found themselves on the losing end of this game where the Aggies dominated while playing in Kyle Field!
This year, the Aggies traveled to Beaver Stadium in the Happy Valley Region of Pennsylvania to take on the Nittany Lions.
The game this year came down to the final few seconds.
First quarter was all A&M as they jumped out to a 14 point lead.
Second quarter the Lions defense held the Aggies scoreless, but could only put up 1 FG in the quarter for themselves.
The score at the half time was Aggies 14 - Lions 3.
The second half and particularly the 3rd quarter would be the biggest impact in this one!
The Lions put up 25 points while holding the Aggies to 7.
The score at the end of the 3rd was Aggies 21 - Lions 28.
The fourth and final quarter the Aggies would score with 6:35 left in the game to tie it at 28!
The Nittany Lions get the ball and put together a drive where on a crucial 3rd and 14, with 5:33 let in the game, Allar throws the ball to WR Harrison Wallace III who makes the catch on a comeback route and gets hit and fumbles the ball, but luckily he was by the sidelines and the ball rolls out of bounds.
They are faced with another 3rd and 15 with 3:27 left in the game. They throw an INT and it looks like their chances are dwindling as the Aggies take over on the 50 yard line with 3:13 left in the game.
The Aggies are in a 3rd and 4 situation and they throw the ball to a WR who was sitting along the sidelines and appeared to be wide open, but when they threw it, they didn't realize that CB A.J. Harris was playing a short zone and had the ability to make it there in time to get the INT.
The Lions take over with 2:29 left in the game and are on their own 35 yard line.
They orchestrate a drive that would feature HB Nicholas Singleton who marches his team down the field and gets them to the 11 yard line to attempt the game winning field goal.
The Lions K Sander Sahaydak knocks in a 28 yard FG with 6 seconds left in the game.
Hell of a game by Coach 6ft and gl the rest of the season!
