Is this really an article if it's the same news every week? Another loss is in the books for the Wake Forest Demon Divas. Unfortunately for coach and players there is still a long season left ahead of them. Plans are to shake up the ranks this upcoming game against Tulane. Coaches goal in this game is to get the offense rolling and keeping the tide pushed out of the winning column with a stronger defensive performance.
The Northwestern Wildcats dominated Wake Forest, winning 35-14 and improving to 5-0. Quarterback Mike Wright was incredibly efficient, going 5/6 for 71 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 123 yards and another score. Running back Joseph Himon impressed in his first start, running for 122 yards and a touchdown, while Cam Porter added 58 yards and a touchdown on the ground. AJ Henning's only catch was a 36-yard touchdown.
Defensively, Xander Mueller had a monster game with 9 tackles, an interception, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Theran Johnson was also a standout, with 3 tackles, a pass breakup, an interception returned for a touchdown, and a forced fumble. Brayden Bris and Devin Turner also contributed with interceptions.
Northwestern will now host Maryland, followed by a key game at Wisconsin. Northwestern is 2-0 in conference and undefeated on the season
