Etienne played a key role in today's victoryUGA survives the Big House
Article By: Georgia took to the road in their week 1 match up against Michigan to open up the season. The Bulldogs looked sluggish in the Big House as they came out sluggish only able to come away with a field goal on their first trip to the redzone. UGA's defense played well keeping the Wolverine's out of the endzone for the first quarter. But in the second Michigan would go ahead and push for what would be their only touchdown the entire game. The Bulldogs walked into halftime with a 13-10 lead and in the third they began to get things going. Georgia put up 14 unanswered points in the 3rd quarter and their defense stood tall in the second half. Ann Arbor is definitely not a place for the faint of heart and UGA saw that first hand. "We were rusty and it showed. Not getting the reps in as we were away for sometime showed today on the field. We struggled to stay consistent with our ball movement which is something we will have to work on before traveling to South Bend. But we stood tall on the defensive side of things and that allowed us the room to get back from the mistakes and inconsistency until we got things going." said Coach Cane after the game. Phrek played a great game, too bad we had the disconnect at the end which prevented us from getting all the stats. Good luck in the B1G
