The Missouri Tigers delivered a dominant performance in their 56-31 victory over the Charlotte 49ers, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive prowess throughout the game. Quarterback Brady Cook was nearly perfect, completing 9 of 10 passes for 192 yards and 2 touchdowns, leading the Tigers to a total of 481 yards of offense. Nate Noel was the standout performer on the ground, rushing for an impressive 288 yards on 32 carries and scoring 6 touchdowns, while Cook added a few rushes of his own, though less impactful. The receiving corps also shone, with Luther Burden III hauling in 4 catches for 80 yards, Brett Norfleet catching a 74-yard touchdown, and Theo Wease Jr. contributing 2 receptions for 27 yards and a touchdown. On defense, the Tigers stifled Charlotte’s offensive efforts, with Chuck Hicks leading the charge with 11 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and an interception, while Corey Flagg also made a significant impact with 6 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and an interception. Missouri’s defense forced 4 turnovers, including 3 interceptions, and held Charlotte to just 146 rushing yards and 192 passing yards. Charlotte’s running game was also limited, as they managed only 146 rushing yards, with icrashedmycarr contributing the bulk of that total. Despite Charlotte's attempts, Missouri was flawless in the red zone, converting all 4 of their opportunities into touchdowns. The Tigers' perfect 4-for-4 red zone performance contrasted sharply with Charlotte’s struggles, and while both teams were perfect on 4th down, Missouri's offense was simply too much for the 49ers to handle. With perfect kicking from Blake Craig (8/8 on extra points) and no penalties committed, Missouri controlled the clock with 15:12 of possession, beating Charlotte handled to move on to 5-0
