WR #8 Sean Brown Leads the Charlotte 49ers Offensive With 2 TDs on The Day
(Piscataway, NJ) - The 49ers bounce back from their Week 1 home loss against Middle Tennessee with a dominant win in the Garden State. 49ers quarterback #1 Max Brown lead the charge for the offense going 18/24 on pass attempts throwing for 318 yards. He connected with his receivers for 5 TDs on the Day.
The most polished wide out was Wide receiver #8 Sean Brown. Sean made 5 Catches on 0 drops for a whopping 154 yards. Sean used his quick feet and disciplined cuts to record 133 RAC yards in SHI Stadium.
The ground game was looking for a bit more to be desired as the 49ers leading rusher #0 Terron Kellman only amassed 91 on 17 attempts and backup running back received 4 touches for 20 yards.
The 49ers defense shutdown almost any and all pass attempts from the Knights offensive. Safety Jayce Thompson, MLB Reid Williford, and CB Dontae Balfour each recorded an interception for positive returns, albeit no more than 25 yards each.
This win was huge for NDL rookie coach iCMC since this win marks not only the first of his NDL career. But one that comes on home soil for the New Jersey native.
It’s great not only to get a win, but now with the opportunity to celebrate it with those closest to me... even if it was again most of closest relatives alma mater. Coach iCMC jokes.
Charlotte looks to collect themselves for a Week 3 bye before heading out west to Fort Collins, Colorado to take on the Colorado State Rams in NDL Week 4. Kickoff is set for 12:30PM PST
