Oregon St came out with one mission tonight...shut down 1 of the best running attacks in the NDL Although Air Force was still able to put up 165 rushing yards the Beavers kept them at bay most of the night Coach Doc done a great job containing our option tonight. He filled the middle with his backers and kept the edges sealed. Coach Ank has to be getting concerned about his team's performances on the road. QB Busha just isn't accurate enough on the road when teams commit to stopping our ground attack. Dylon Carson the FB was shut down all night long... The Beavs front 4 was nasty in the trenches tonight. Dylon got most of his yards on 1 carry...the rest was just inches or negative plays. We have to bounce back and put this game behind us. We are 4-5 with 2 of our next 3 at home. 6-6 was our goal, it's still manageable but we have 3 very good teams in front of us
Oregon State shined vs one of the best rushing attacks in the NDL. The challenge for the Beavers was to seal the edges and contain the middle, and they did just that. The offense wasn't too bad either, putting up 349 yds and 5 TDs
Anthony Hankerson was the star of this show. He ran for 173 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Giovani McCoy added 76 yards and 2 touchdowns. The defense was super impressive on stopping the run game and forcing Air Force out of their comfort zone.
Oregon State is having a surprise season, winning way more than it should have. It looks to continue its winning ways against SJSU. With Washington St and Boise St upcoming looks like a tough finish for the Beavers. Can they surprise? We will see.
