NDL: S32W12 - Colorado State (9) at Wyoming (21)

INT Fest 2025!

Article By: Dakshdar

In a game that will be remembered more for its chaos than its craftsmanship, Wyoming slogged its way to a 21-9 victory over rival Colorado State on Saturday night in the annual Border War. The win keeps the coveted Bronze Boot in Laramie, but it came amid a flurry of mistakes and miscues on both sides.

The two teams combined for a staggering nine interceptions, six of them thrown by Colorado State in a performance that sabotaged any chance the visitors had of generating consistent offense. Wyoming wasn’t much cleaner, giving the ball away three times through the air themselves, but managed to capitalize on short fields and a punishing ground game when it mattered.

Neither offense found a consistent rhythm, and much of the game was played between the 30-yard lines. Penalties and dropped passes only added to the frustration as both coaching staffs spent more time reacting to turnovers than orchestrating drives.

The win gives Wyoming another notch in the rivalry and improves their standing in the Mountain West, but it’s a game both teams may want to quickly forget when it comes to execution. Still, for Wyoming, an ugly win is a win—especially when it comes against their biggest rival.
