UGA loses big at home

In a much needed win to solidify their place in the CFP, the Bulldogs of UGA played host to the #1Ole Miss Rebels. From start to finish this game one sided. UGA found themselves inconsistent with moving the ball from costly turnovers to the inability to punch it in while in the Redzone. Georgia started the game off and looked to be moving the ball down the field but as HB Trevor Etienne takes off for a 10+ yard gain he gets stripped and the ball shoots 50 yards up field and into the side of the endzone for a touchback and turnover on downs. That wouldn't be the end of it, from costly throws landing underneath the WR and balls just beyond their reach, UGA struggled with passing the ball today. Etienne had a day on the ground rushing for 150 plus but he alone couldn't get the Bulldogs into the endzone or get anything going. "This was a difficult game. Our heads were not in this one and it showed. A lot of avoidable mistakes outside of the fumble and things we have to be aware of. We didn't prepare before this game and it showed as our offense was slow and inconsistent and our defense blew a couple of coverages that turned into TD's. We can only look to get better as we have 2 games remaining and need to close out strong." said Coach Cane after the game.
