The Rams got the scoring started going right down the field and scoring on a long pass to Henderson out of the backfield, but that would be all Colorado State did for a while.
The Buffaloes scored 34 straight points from that point on.
Colorado immediately answered the score with a drive of their own capped off by a Brandon Hood 1 yard reception.
Shilo Sanders then picked off a pass on the next drive setting the Buffaloes up inside the 30. The drive was unsuccessful however, as Sanders missed Hunter for a would be touchdown just throwing it out of bounds and the Buffaloes settled for 3.
A failed fourth down attempt set the Buffaloes up at midfield but the Rams defense held tough forcing a missed field goal.
The Buffaloes offense stalled a bit and the defense revitalized the scoring with a pick six before the half. The defense came up big again forcing a 3 and out and the offense wouldn't be stopped this time as Sanders found Wester for a touchdown to make it 24-7 at the half.
The Buffaloes coasted a bit in the third quarter before adding 10 more points in the fourth. The second half scoreless streak was snapped however as the Rams scored late in the fourth.
Through 3 regular season games and 2 Beefy cup games the Buffaloes are now outscoring opponents 60-6.
Colorado opens up conference play against Baylor next.
