The defense was a little up & down but made plays when needed. Nick Emmanwori was the catalyst for the defense with 15 tackles, 1 for loss and a sack. The defense amassed 3 sacks and 5 interceptions on the day one of those for a touchdown by O’Donnell Fortune for 93 yards.
“We definitely wanted to play better than our last game and we did that. On offense we controlled the ball and made plays when available. The defense has to shut down opposing offenses a little better going forward but today was a good step that way. Cats are a good team and coach Meep is a very good coach. They will make some noise this season in the league!”
