It was a good start for Akron’s new Head Coach KingSalty24 as Akron marched down the field on their opening drive for 7. After that it was all Arkansas State’s Defense, which had 4 Interceptions on the day. We asked the new Head Coach what he thought of the teams performance he said: “ I take full responsibility for our lackluster offense, we went into the game with emotions running high, which helped us on the opening drive, but I think the emotion got the best of us today. I’m gonna tweak some pregame things and I have full faith in this team to take a run at the MAC. Before I go I would just like to point out what a wonderful job our Offensive Line did today , giving up zero sacks.”

Akron will take on Southern Miss in week 2 as coach Salty looks to get his first collegiate Win.
