In a matchup of longtime friends and rivals, Coach MC's Old Dominion Monarchs stormed into Lubbock and came away with the victory against addilopes and the Texas Tech Raiders by the score of 42-24.
Coming in as underdogs, the Monarchs were able to dominate the offensive and defensive line play racking up over 445 yards of offense against a Raider team superior in every position.
Old Dominion's 3rd and 4th down efficiency was a huge part of the day with ODU converting 7-11 of 3rd downs and 2 of 2 on 4th downs.
Colton Joseph continued his magical freshman season tossing for 336 and 4 TDs. Undersized but dependable Isiah Page is quickly showing his mettle as he hauled in 6 catches for 132 yards and a TD and TE Pat Conroy is showing why he is Joseph's safety blanket, reeling in 2 TDs.
The ODU defense continued its domination of the trenches by reaching up another 5 TFLs which set the tone and forced the Raider defense to air it out which resulted in 3 INTs.
ODU looks to continue its winning ways next week on the road against in-state foe, the Virginia Cavaliers.
