What a finish for the Lobos. Normally it has gone the other way for the Lobos this season. Hard fought game, in hand, and then disaster and given away. Tonight New Mexico took it away from Rice. Noa Pola-Gates with 2 pick 6s sealed the deal for the Lobos as the offense could never really get going. Rice controlled the game for the most part but the Lobos won TOP and the turnover battle +4 and came out victorious on the day. Rice took a 7 point lead to the half, but the Lobos defensive scores were enough to push them over the top with a +8 advantage in the second half.
