Desert nights can be magical sometimes. Tonight the Lobos kindled a little bit of offense and defense at the same time. Turnovers ruled the day for the Lobo D. A big issue was the deep ball, and big gaps up the middle of the run D causing big plays for the Gamecocks, but at the end of the day turnovers nullified the big plays for the most part. 4 interceptions and 2 fumbles doomed the Sunbelt foes. The Lobo offense did as much as they have in tune up games and the week 1 debacle in one game. Dampier was really good in spite of a pick 6 that rejuvenated the birds in the 3rd quarter. The read game was going well and the passing was efficient. The Lobos may have a found their recipe with Mountain West play opening next block, we will see what is in the cards for the Hatch Gang.
