The Wolverines defense disrupted the Hokies offense as they were able to limit their rushing attack to 36 rushing yards, forced 3 interceptions (1 for a touchdown), and moved the ball fairly well mixing it up on the ground as in the air. Colston Loveland received player of the game accolades, he had 5 receptions on the day 127 yards, and 2 touchdowns. Josaiah Stewart came into the game tied for the league lead in sacks of 11. He pressured the quarterback on 5 drop backs but was only able to get 3 assisted tackles and a half sack.
Phreakk said that Loveland came up clutch, catching a touchdown to tie the game at 7-7 with 4 seconds left to go in the half. He also mentioned that we needed to take the momentum away from Virginia Tech as they had returned a punt for a touchdown midway through the 2nd quarter and felt that Michigan's Offense needed to come alive before half or they may be out of the game.
In the second half, the Hokies bit on a beautiful Play action pass that left Loveland wide open with no one around except the snow angels on the ground, he ran 45 yards for the go ahead touchdown. Since benching Orji the Wolverines Offense has been doing a lot better on the ground and in the area. We're finding the open receivers and have become more accurate with Davis Warren.
Chase Great Game, always a pleasure playing you. This rivalry is only the start.
Gl the rest of the way and hold on tight to your Hokies.
