Gainesville, Florida - "The Swamp" is generally considered one of the toughest places to play in all of college football, but tonight the Rebels of Ole Miss made it look like one of the tamest. In what might be one of the bigger upsets of the season the Rebels dominated what had been up to this point in the season one of the toughest defenses in all of the land, defeating the Gators 34-31. On the offensive side of the ball DJ Lagway was electric, finishing the day 20/26 passing for 366 yards and 3 touchdowns. Lagway was able to find his favorite target Eugene Wilson III open all night long to the tune of 8 catches for 178 yards and all 3 of his touchdowns. Sadly for the Gators the defense they were simply dominated all game long to the tune of 249 rushing yards, 216 of which came from Henry Parrish Jr. "I'm honestly at a loss for words right now," said coach McDonagh at the post game press conference. "I think we came into this one thinking we were going to simply have our way with Ole Miss and that certainly wasn't the case. We got punched in the mouth, kicked in the chest and slammed to the dirt. I'm not really sure what else to say. Ole Miss gave us the business." With the loss the Gators now turn their attention to their final game of the season against their in-state rivals the Seminoles of Florida State.
