Wake Takes Loss on Tobacco Road

Article By: TheRealDray

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons took one on the nose today to close neighbor North Carolina Tar Heels 34–10, in a game that got away in the 3rd quarter:
The tough Tar Heels would stand behind a tough defense and ground game that would prove too much on the day.
The Deacs would hang around as the too teams would trade punches early as the defense didn’t allow much as Wake would take an early 3-0 lead into the 2nd quarter: unc would put a drive together and tie the game at 3-3 early in the 2nd and then tally a late touchdown to make it 10-3 with about 1:20 left. But wake would put their best scoring effort of the day together and tie the game going into the half as Hank Bachmeier would find Taylor Morin with just over 20 ticks left and the game was tied at 10. 3rd quarter would just see the Deacons throw 2 crucial ints and the heels would capitalize and put the game away.

“We had some chances. Just gave them too many opportunities to bury us and they didn’t mind the help a bit. A good team takes advantage of the opportunities. We just have to learn from our mistakes today and go on from here. Still alot of football left to play. Props to coach dude he’s got that defense rolling and we need to learn from them.” Dray after the game.
Gg dude best of luck rest of the season!

Hampton Leads The Way!

Tar Heels Beat Wake Forest 34-10 Behind Omarion Hampton’s Big Night

In a commanding performance, the North Carolina Tar Heels took down the Wake Forest Demon Deacons 34-10 in action, powered by a stellar outing from star running back Omarion Hampton.

Hampton was unstoppable, rushing for 161 yards and two touchdowns as the Tar Heels controlled the game from start to finish. His explosive runs set the tone early, with a bruising touchdown in the second quarter that put North Carolina ahead. He later broke free for a long score in the second half, cementing UNC’s dominance on the ground.

The Tar Heels' defense also shined, stifling Wake Forest’s offense and limiting them to just 10 points. The defensive unit forced multiple three-and-outs, while the secondary kept the Demon Deacons’ passing attack in check.

Quarterback Connor Harrell's play was solid for UNC, with efficient passing complementing Hampton’s ground game. The offense maintained balance, keeping Wake Forest on its heels all night.

With this win, the Tar Heels continue their strong season, building momentum for a potential postseason push. If Hampton keeps delivering performances like this, North Carolina could be a serious contender down the stretch.

" Coach Dray and the Demon Deacons are a hell of a team with a solid defense! We caught a few breaks today that allowed us to win this game. We look forward to next seasons matchup with them."
