Not much to say this week. A series of fumbles from Pace and multiple interceptions quickly put the game out of reach by the start of the second quarter.
Honestly, it’s hard to find the right words. Our star running back has 96 Carrier Vision, but Coach Noles26 summed it up:
“None of that mattered.” Our wide receivers were consistently outrun to the spot on simple lob passes, even in man coverage. It’s clear we just don’t have the skill set right now. By the 4th quarter, Pace was visibly frustrated and had to bow out of the game, so we gave some of our younger players a chance to carry the ball.
Defensively, it’s tough to assess. Our offense gave up so many touchdowns that Notre Dame backed off in the second half. Reviewing the tape, our game-time vision seemed accurate—though we dropped three potential interceptions. Notre Dame? They didn’t miss a single one.
We’ll regroup tonight. Up next, another top-15 matchup with Clemson.
For now, we’ll focus on finishing this season strong and rebuilding the team for the future.
