NDL: S31W11 - Army (35) at North Texas (21)

0-8 in Denton. UNT officially dead!

Article By: Drewwbacca

Drewwbacca continues to defy the odds, and the 0 in the win column, since week 12 of S30 continues.

After a turnover free game against UTSA in an OT Loss, Chandler Morris and Drewwbacca of old came back, and tossed 3 picks gifting Army lovely field position. Army scored off at least 2 of the turnovers to boot. That's the hidden difference in the box score. Points of T.O's..

Ikaika Ragsdale continues to pace the way for UNT, going over 100 yards once again, 126 yds on 21 carriers, 1 TD. Roderick Brown was mentioned in previous game recaps as a potential All AAC candidate and continues to cement himself as such. His dominant play in the trenches is noticeable on most snaps, even ones where his name doesn't show on the stat sheet. But today he had another impressive performance, while he only notched 3 tackles, all 3 were TFL's.

Army had an uncharacteristically healthy passing game and while they remained balanced, they also kept Drewwbacca guessing the whole game. Well played game by KyShark.

Article By: Old Ky Shark

In a thrilling matchup, the Army Black Knights showcased their strength on the field, defeating the North Texas Mean Green with a final score of 35-21. Army's powerful rushing attack was evident from the outset, as they established a dominant ground game that kept North Texas on their heels. With a combination of strategic play-calling and disciplined execution, the Black Knights methodically marched down the field, scoring early in the game.

North Texas attempted to respond with their aerial offense, but the Army defense consistently applied pressure, leading to key turnovers that shifted momentum. The Black Knights' defense was particularly effective in the red zone, limiting North Texas to field goals instead of touchdowns, which ultimately proved critical in the game's outcome. Their relentless pursuit of the ball and stout tackling kept the Mean Green from finding their offensive rhythm.

As the game progressed, Army's offense continued to capitalize on its opportunities. Quarterbacks and running backs performed well, with several standout individual performances that contributed to the score. With each touchdown, the Army crowd grew more passionate, creating an electric atmosphere that fueled the team's determination to secure the victory.

In the final quarter, despite a late push from North Texas, Army held firm, demonstrating their resilience and teamwork. The 35-21 win not only reflects Army's ability to execute their game plan but also reinforces their position in the season as a formidable opponent. The victory was a testament to their hard work and preparation, setting a positive tone for the remainder of the season.
