A 24-0 run and fourth quarter lead, 7 plus minutes of possession, and a +5 turnover margin were not enough for the Lobos in Coach Tstep's final NDL game coaching the CSU Rams. In the second game in a row having a +5 turnover margin, the defense looked to be in top form. But a nightmare fourth quarter saw no Lobo points and saw CSU get 3 TDs and 2 point conversions as well as hit the GW FG as time expired in maybe one of the most improbable comebacks in the history of the NDL. 3 Luke Drzewiecki missed FGs probably sealed the Lobos fate along with a huge letting off of the gas pedal in the second half. A disappointing result ends the Lobos 3 game winning streak and drops them to 2-2 in the MWC. It will be difficult to dig out of this hole needing 2 more wins to qualify for bowl eligibility.
