NDL: S31W7 - Kansas State (14) at Colorado (42)

Avery Winfrey

Article By: TexaNole

Avery Johnson was out here throwing picks like Oprah Winfrey—"You get one! You get one!" It was, without a doubt, his worst game of the season.

Coach Texanole came into the game fired up—some might even say drunk (but hey, that’s just rumors). And for a quarter and a half, his game plan was actually working. But on this night, the Buffs just had the Wildcats' number. They ran wild, racking up six rushing touchdowns.

Coach Texanole had one mission: take Hunter out of the game. Mission accomplished. But in doing so, he opened the floodgates for the run game, and boy, did it go crazy.

The Wildcats take this loss with their heads held high, still sitting at 4-1 on the season. Hats off to Coach DCanady1—he played a great game. Best of luck to him the rest of the way.

Colorado Runs Over Kansas State in 42-14 Blowout

Colorado delivered a dominant performance against Kansas State, rolling to a 42-14 victory behind a stifling defense and an unstoppable rushing attack. The Buffaloes’ defense set the tone early, forcing four interceptions that kept the Wildcats off balance all night. With constant pressure and opportunistic playmaking, Colorado’s defense ensured Kansas State never found its rhythm. Meanwhile, the Buffaloes’ offense leaned heavily on the ground game, racking up 212 rushing yards and six touchdowns.

Running back Brandon Hood was the star of the night, accounting for four total touchdowns in a performance that left Kansas State defenders grasping at air. Whether powering through tackles or breaking into the open field, Hood was simply unstoppable. With the defense shutting down any hopes of a Wildcats comeback, Colorado controlled the game from start to finish. This convincing win reinforced the Buffaloes’ dominance, proving they are a well-rounded team capable of overwhelming opponents on both sides of the ball.
