Well, a banger of a first half, 7-3 UNT over Tulsa, gave way to a second half that was all Golden Hurricanes. Once again, Drewwbacca has taken a strong first half and then parlayed that into what turns out to be an absolute dud.
Roderick Brown continues to pace a defensive front 7 that has shown promise as of late, and despite his brilliance they continue to come up short. Brown notched 7 tackles to go with another multi TFL (2) game. If Brown continues to play the way he has, first the team will be better off for it, second he should firmly cement himself in the 1st team All-AAC conversation.
On the opposite side of the ball, things continue to improve as well. Ikaika Ragsdale is showing the promise Drewwbacca had hoped for at the seasons outset. Another 100+ yd game 125yds on 22 carries) helped the Mean Green control the first half, but despite it all Chandler Morris' inability or more aptly put, Drewwbacca's inability to steady the passing game and limit turnovers, especially in the redzone, continue to be the absolute death blow to any possible success.
UNT yet again outgained a team, significantly. It also held 5 more minutes in terms of T.O.P. but games aren't born out in the stats. A pick 6 here, an ill timed INT there, and the end result is always the same for Drewwbacca. Another 0-1 week, and 0-Fer record....
