Wildcats go wild

Article By: TexaNole

Coach TexaNole and the EMAW Nation had his team firing on all cylinders once again. The Wildcats started sluggish in the first quarter, settling for a field goal after an 80-yard drive to take an early 3-0 lead.

Momentum nearly shifted in the second quarter when Avery Johnson fumbled near the goal line, and Oklahoma State nearly returned it for a touchdown. Three plays later, the Cowboys capitalized, punching it in to take a 7-3 lead.

That’s when Coach TexaNole had seen enough. The Wildcats responded with a defensive clinic, shutting down one of the nation’s best running backs and holding Oklahoma State to just 24 rushing yards. The defense also came up with two interceptions, limiting the Cowboys to just 263 total yards and only a late touchdown.

Meanwhile, the Wildcats’ offense found its rhythm, reaching the end zone three times in the second quarter, once more in the third, and adding a field goal to seal a dominant 34-14 victory over Coach Chillichill’s squad.

Best of luck to Coach Chill the rest of the way!
