It’s getting ugly in Lincoln as the Huskers suffered yet another close loss
Huskers seemed to have this one all but wrapped up but a late Illini TD , followed by a successful onside kick and eventual TD with a few seconds remaining sent the Huskers faithful home disappointed
In the late 3rd Quarter it was all Nebraska as they had a commanding 23-7 lead over Illinois. However, Illinois wouldn’t go down without a fight. By the mid 4th Illinois made it a 26-23 game as they were very close to coming all the way back. Things changed when Nebraska scored a massive touchdown making the score 33-23 with 1:30 left. Illinois wasn’t done though as they scored a clutch touchdown to make it 33-30. Then it all came down to the improbable onside quick, but Illinois recovered it! Then with 13 seconds left Pat Bryant caught the game winning TD!
