Cougars are Apple Cup Champs!

The matchup kicked off with a strong showing from Washington, who quickly forced a 3-and-out from the Cougars. The Huskies capitalized early with a 66-yard rushing touchdown by Jonah Coleman, but Washington State responded with a methodical 14-play drive, capped off by a 1-yard touchdown from Mateer to tie the game.
Washington struck again with a 51-yard pass from Williams Jr. to Washington, but the Cougars answered with a field goal. Both teams traded touchdowns before the half, and Washington led as they entered the second half with possession. The Huskies extended their lead with a field goal, but that's when the tide started to turn.
Washington State's offense came alive, led by an impressive ground attack. The Cougars scored three consecutive rushing touchdowns: a 1-yard run, a 13-yard run, and a 33-yard run, all of which put them in control. Washington added a late touchdown, but it was too little, too late. The Cougars held strong, securing the win and clinching the Season 31 Apple Cup Championship.
With the victory, Coach LiQ improved to 2-2 on the season, and Pullman erupted in celebration as the Cougars returned home victorious.
