Liberty's kicker will not be sleeping well tonight. He had not, but two, easy kicks in the first quarter that went wide and gave life to NMSU. It took NMSU some time, but they got the ball rolling with 20 quick points between the first 2nd and 3rd quarter, while only giving up a TD to Liberty.
NMSU hit a couple deep bombs and totaled 264 passing yards and 133 rushing yards, with McGowan's back clearly in pain after taking 29th attempts.
Once up a couple scores in the 4th, NMSUs defense was too focused on the deep ball and let Salter run for over 100 yards after dropping back for a pass.
All in all though, NMSU was a bit too much Liberty this time, especially with 6 points landing JUUUUSSSTTTT outside the uprights.
