The South Alabama Jaguars were shut out by the UAB Blazers in a decisive 34-0 loss. The Blazers dominated both sides of the ball, amassing 401 total offensive yards to South Alabama's 167. South Alabama struggled offensively, managing just 41 rushing yards and 126 passing yards, and securing only nine first downs compared to UAB’s 16. Turnovers plagued the Jaguars, who threw seven interceptions and lost one fumble, giving UAB ample scoring opportunities. The Blazers jumped to a commanding 34-0 lead by halftime, and their defense held strong throughout, sealing a dominant victory.
The UAB Blazers push their win streak to four in dominating fashion. This team is really cooking up something special in Birmingham. Blazers quarterback Jacob Zeno is really on a roll, completing 11/12 passes for 250 yard to go along with 2 passing touchdowns. Running back Lee Beebe Jr. also ran it in for 2 touchdowns. But the defense is what really put this game away. South Alabama quarterback Gio Lopez struggled all day completing just 8 of his 32 passes, and 7 of his passes were caught by the Blazers. The player of the game has to be corner Colby Dempsey, who collected 4 of those interceptions, including one for a touchdown. The Blazers are on a roll and look to keep it up as the face the Arkansas State next week.
