The Yellow Jackets come into Willy B in an undefeated matchup against the Gamecocks. Things get off to a slow start offensively for the Yellow Jackets throwing multiple interceptions. The defense eventually wore out and couldn't keep up. Gamecocks stay undefeated and Yellow Jackets move to 5-1 on the year.
The Gamecocks avoid the upset at Willy B thanks to the energy provided from the home crowd. The highly touted out of conference matchup was anticipated to be one of the best games of the season and it lived up to the hype, especially in the first half.
"Our crowd was great today," said coach metro "they gave us energy the whole game and never calmed down." The Gamecocks and Yellow Jackets were locked into a defensive chess match until the South Carolina defense rose to the occasion to take control.
Kyle Lennard continues his dominating season by getting a big game changing sack in the third quarter to put the game away for the Gamecocks and LaNorris Sellers continues to shine with a mistake free day as well.
