OSU offense was able to get off to a hot start and the crowd and the OSU defense were able to keep the 9ers at bay.
CLT just wasn't to string together enough plays to make a huge impact, despite some good progress here and there.
Despite finding small success here and there on offense, the 49ers simply weren't prepared to take on Ohio State last night.
It was clear early on that Ohio State was simply too talented for Charlotte to compete with. The buckeyes had a fast start scoring back to back touchdowns. The second quarter didn't go much better for the 49ers, as they went into halftime with a 31-7 score. From that point on Ohio State dominated defensively, holding the 49ers to under 30 rush yards.
The 49ers look ahead to Southern Miss next week before taking a week off. A week that is surely needed at this point.
