UConn entered their road game at Sam Houston St vs seasoned coach OldKyShark.
UConn came out slow defensively, surprisingly letting up 2 passing td's on the first two possessions, something they don't allow very often. UConn defense settled in after that picking off the Sam Houston qb 4 times and ultimately used a methodical mix of run and pass to put the game out of reach.
Mel Brown rushed for 6 td's on the day and Vic Rosa rushed for 100+ yards. Evers was nearly flawless thru the air going 17 for 18 with the incompletion being a drop.
