Kentucky cant kick Field Goals

Article By: Eljefebigrump

Kentucky pulled off a thrilling 31-28 victory over Michigan State on a last-second field goal after a 49-yard bomb from quarterback Devin Leary to Barion Brown with just 10 seconds left. Brown, who had a quiet day with 85 yards on 3 catches, made the biggest play of the game to set up a 32-yard field goal by Matt Ruffolo as time expired.

This was one of the worst days Kentucky has seen from QB Gavin Wimsatt, as he didnt throw for a single touchdown and had 2 interceptions. He only had just under 200 yards on the day, letting the RB carry the offense to Victory.

Chip Trayanum was the star of the day for the Wildcats, rushing for 149 yards and scoring all four of Kentucky’s touchdowns. "Chip was just a beast today. He carried us when we needed him, and he kept moving the chains," said coach ElJefe after the win. "When you’ve got a guy like him in your backfield, it makes life a lot easier."

The defense was also crucial, forcing three fumbles and recovering all three, giving the offense key opportunities. Kentucky continued to struggle with FG attempts, which has been a big problem this season, going 1/2, missing a field goal where the ball was on the 2 yard line.

The game ended with Michigan State's offense unable to respond after Kentucky’s late heroics ending the game with 0 seconds on the clock after the huge field goal.
