Coach TexaNole’s homecoming to Doak Campbell Stadium was anything but sweet as the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes squandered a 28-point lead, falling 35-31 to the Florida State Seminoles. In a game that was thrilling until the final moments, a dropped pass on 4th-and-3 by Brendan Presley sealed Tulsa’s fate, allowing the Seminoles to complete their remarkable comeback.
What began as a dominant outing for Tulsa quickly unraveled in the second half. Credit is due to Florida State head coach SouthGacracker and his resilient squad, who refused to quit and clawed their way back into the game. Despite the loss, the Golden Hurricanes showed grit, but they now face the challenge of regrouping with two games left in the regular season.
Winning both would make Tulsa bowl-eligible, an accomplishment that could salvage what has been an up-and-down season. Here’s hoping this crushing defeat doesn’t linger as they prepare for the road ahead.
