Georgia played host to Wake Forest this week. It started out as a closer game than the score shows. SSI came out with solid defense and showed moments as they moved the ball for a solid score. UGA came back and punched one in to tie the game up. After that the Bulldog defense kicked in and they played host to the Demon Decons backfield all game. Not allowing much on the ground and causing 3 turnovers in the game and keeping the game settled. The Bulldogs carried the game literally with 200+ yards on the ground. HB Trevor Etienne left the game in the 3rd with 193 yards on the ground and 3 touchdowns on the day. "It was a solid day for our guys. We had a game plan and made adjustments and tried to stay consistent. We will look to continue on as the season progresses." said Coach Cane after the game.
Wake traveled to Athens to face the bulldogs tonight and for about a quarter and a half held their own. Wake took the opening drive and had a 11 play drive that lead to a TD. Defense came up huge and stopped UGA on a fake punt and life was looking good. Unfortunately Wake gave it right back on an INT on the first play. A huge chance to seize momentum was wasted. Wake weathered the storm and went into half down 21-7 Wake had a chance to make it a game but a dropped TD that lead to a field goal and UGA continuing to so the best impression of IHOP ever seemed the deal. Wake is looking for a new strength coach after being pancaked an amazing 49 times. Early reports say JeffDaddy is the leading candidate because he is a effing stud and Wake needs that! GG dcane!
