Article By: uf83198

In a BIG 12 road match up, the Oklahoma State Cowboys defeated the Texas Tech Red Raiders 31-17 in a college football showdown.

The Cowboys got off to a strong start in the first quarter when quarterback Alan Bowman connected with Ollie Gordon II for a 23-yard touchdown pass, complemented by a successful kick from Logan Ward, putting Oklahoma State ahead 7-0.

In the second quarter, the Cowboys extended their lead with a 21-yard field goal from Logan Ward. The highlight of the quarter came when Trey Rucker returned an interception 83 yards for a touchdown, once again aided by a Ward extra point, bringing the score to 17-0.

The Red Raiders fought back in the third quarter, with Tahj Brooks breaking through for a 19-yard rushing touchdown, and Gino Garcia's kick narrowing the gap to 17-7. Moments later, CJ Baskerville made a crucial interception, returning it 29 yards for another Texas Tech touchdown, closing the score to 17-14 after Garcia's kick.

However, the Cowboys responded quickly. Alan Bowman found Josh Ford with a 3-yard touchdown pass, making it 24-14 after another successful kick from Logan Ward. The Red Raiders attempted to stay close, as Gino Garcia nailed a 42-yard field goal, cutting the deficit to 24-17.

Oklahoma State sealed the game with an impressive 17-yard rushing touchdown from Ollie Gordon II, followed by Ward's kick, finalizing the score at 31-17. The Cowboys demonstrated a balanced offensive attack and a strong defensive performance to secure their road win over Texas Tech.

Red Raiders Outdueled at Home

Article By: AUChase89

In the final game of the season, Coach AUChase and the Texas Tech Red Raiders hosted Oklahoma State in hopes of earning a season finale conference win but performed terribly and were outplayed in front of the faithful home crowd. The Red Raiders offense could not get going as they only had 272 combined yards but most importantly they were 3 interceptions including a crushing blow of a pick six in the second quarter.

It was obvious that the players had their eyes on the transfer portal or NFL because their heads were in a different place besides Lubbock, TX. as the failure to execute the basics continued to stack up until the lead was insurmountable and Oklahoma State was was able to ice the game late.
