Despite Troy’s impressive 561 total yards, Louisiana’s efficiency in the red zone and opportunistic defense made the difference. The Cajuns totaled 430 yards, with 336 coming through the air, as quarterback Chandler Fields delivered a standout performance, throwing two touchdown passes. Louisiana was near perfect on third downs, converting 5 of 7 attempts, and capitalized on Troy's mistakes, forcing three turnovers—including three interceptions—that proved pivotal in securing the win.
