In a defensive slugfest of a first quarter UNR got the early advantage as they would score from 78 yards out through the air. Air Force would struggle to move the ball consistently, but was able to punch it in from 2 yards out on the run to tie it up. UNR would kick a straight as an arrow kick from 50 yards out to take the half time lead of 10-7.
The Falcons would strike first in the second half as the RB would find some room outside against the stacked box and take it in from 33 yards out, then the D would force an interception and the RB would score from 2 yards out. UNR would make it very interesting late in the 3rd when they would score on a 3 yard passing play and get the 2 point conversion to bring the game to a 3 point lead for the Falcons. The Air Force offense would get close to scoring again, but would have to settle for a 29 yard FG to go up 6 with 4:47 left to go in the game. The teams would trade possessions and UNR would get stopped on a 4th down pass in the endzone. The Falcons would rush the ball to the other side of the field and then take a knee and get out of the game with their 3rd win on the season. GG UncleLbo, it was a fun one man! Best of luck!
In a defensive struggle early Nevada grabbed the early lead with long touchdown pass to open up the scoring. The defense was up to the task early but ultimately started giving up big chunk plays on the ground as air force just kept pounding the option to the outside. A costly turnover in the 3rd qtr gave air force all the breathing room they would need as they help of nevada and kept them winless on the year. One final shot at breaking into the win column for nevada as they face in state rival UNLV
