In what looked to be the last big game on the season for the Bulldogs, they traveled down to Neyland Stadium to face the Volunteers of Tennessee. UGA looking to finish out the season strong did just that. The Bulldogs played in Bulldog fashion with HB Trevor Etienne having another 100+ yard day and QB Carson Beck finding guys all over the field through the air. The Bulldogs defense was the key as even though they gave up some big plays in the 2nd quarter they came up with big plays when the team needed them the most. SS Malik Starks grabbed a 67 yard pick 6 to keep the distance between the Dawgs and the Vols. "This game was much needed for us. We finish with our 10 wins and regardless of what happens, we can prepare for next season. There is still a lot of football left if we get the vote in the CFP we will have a tough road ahead as there are nothing but great teams and great coaches in this group. I'm proud of our guys and the season we put together, especially since everyone else believed this would be the season we would fail." said Coach Cane after the game. With this one the Bulldogs close out their regular season and await post season result.
