UCLA came out with a great gameplan on defense. Loading the box against Iowa and forcing early punts. The Hawkeyes couldn't capitalize in the passing game, as McNamara would go 5 for 15 in the air.

The Bruins would also force Iowa into settling for 4 fgs. Their defense was stout the whole game and despite some offensive struggles the game was still in the balance in the 4th qtr.

I'd like to once again thank James for his class in handling a bad decision made by me. I look forward to hopefully playing some scrimmages when you get back. I can only hope everyone accepts my apology, and are able to move on as graciously as James has.
