UGA losses tough one on the road

Article By: dcane7

This was a huge SEC conference game as one team would probably go off to setting things in the big game at the end of the season. This was a game total defense, the first score coming off a safety after a big 4th down stop. UGA would go up 7-2, then it went to 9-7 and UGA had a chance to go up 14-9 but TE Henry Delp drops a wide open uncontested pass for a TD and UGA gave the ball back to UF. After that play you could see the game go downhill for the Dawgs. UF's TE then catches a big 3rd down pass over Safety Malik Starks as he not only grabs the ball in the air that should have been knocked out but also lands on the safeties back and catches his balance for a few more yards. It was turnover city after that and the game was all Gators. "This game was embarrassing for us letting our heads get out of the game. After our dropped pass that would have put us up and then to watch their TE catch one that should have been dropped frustration set in and we were no longer in the game. Forcing throws which is something we got away from, and hyper focusing on the unnecessary. Despite this loss we have learned quite a bit and will work to make a spot in the CFP. We hope to see UF again." said Coach Cane after the game.

Gators Defense Stifles UGA!

Article By: MarionCounty

After losing their perfect season to Kentucky in Week 8, Coach County and the Florida Gators looked to right the ship against #6 ranked Florida in a monumental SEC rivalry matchup.

The Gators' defense forced 6 interceptions on the day, forcing the Georgia QB Carson Beck to make horrible decision after horrible decision.

Future pro cornerback Jason Marshall Jr. forced a pick on UGA's opening drive and it was all downhill for the Bulldogs after that despite keeping the Florida offense relatively in check. There was a point in the late second quarter where the score was 2-0 after Florida forced a safety.

Florida was able to score a TD before the end of the first half and scored another one on the opening drive of the second half to salt the game away as the Florida defense was taking no prisoners.

Coach MC had this to say, "DCane and I are rivals. I have a lot of respect for the man but watching him squirm on the sideline in real time is something I'll tell my kids about. The man looked defeated and it brought me joy. His offense wasn't able to beat my boys and I loved every second of it. After the 6th pick, the man stood there with his hands on his head and you can tell he checked out. He wanted the game to end."
