NDL: S30W10 - Army (24) at Air Force (17)

Look good, play mediocre

Close doesn't count

Article By: ICE

Game started out great for the Falcons as they would get the ball and have a two play drive go 77 yards with scoring by the RB (but EA gave the stats to my QB) from 66 yards out. The teams then traded field goals in the quarter and the Falcons held a 7 point lead after the first. In the second quarter, Army would answer back and find the endzone twice from 4, and 16 yards out, while Air Force would score on a 26 yard run to put the score at the half at 17-17. Army is the only team that scored in the second half on a 13 yard run to end the 3rd quarter. The fourth quarter would see the two teams trade possessions and facing a 4th and short with time ticking out in the game, the Air Force offense would make two mistakes in a row and not pick up the first down and the Cadets would kneel the ball out and take home the W.

GG Meep, and Best of luck the rest of the way!

5 Yards and a Cloud of Dust

Article By: Ofc Meep

In the first leg of the Commander-In-Chief Trophy, Army defeated Air Force in Colorado 24-17. The game was clean for both teams, as neither team had a turnover and the only blemish was a fumble by AF that was recovered by their offense.

The game was a running battle, with Stewart leading Army with 130 yards and 2 TDs off 19 rushes and Busha leading AF with 118 yards and 1 TD off of 13 rushes. Army's Daily also had a rushing TD, but otherwise went 10/16 for 110 yards.

Short, as normal, led the receiving core for the Black Knights, getting 67 yards on 5 receptions.

DiDomenico showed off for Army, totaling 10 tackles, with 2 TFL.

And Army's kicker made his lone FG attempt of the game.

Coach Meep stated during his pressor, "It was a hard-fought, hard-nosed, rushing game between the service academies. It showed how the program needs to continue to rely heavily on our rushing game, and allow that to create passing opportunities. The 5 yards and a cloud of dust style of football prevents INTs, which has plagued us this season. We ain't dead yet."
