The South Alabama Jaguars couldn’t catch a break this week, falling 37-14 to the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks. From the start, it was an uphill battle as the Jaguars’ run game was stuffed, finishing with just 23 rushing yards against the Warhawks powerful 215-yard ground attack. Jaguars quarterback Gio Lopez threw five interceptions, derailing any chance of a comeback despite a solid 320-yard passing effort. The Warhawks capitalized on every mistake, taking control early and keeping the Jaguars out of the end zone for most of the game. South Alabama will need to regroup and cut down on errors to find their rhythm again.
