The Eagles from Georgia Southern came out victorious in James Madison on week 8. The Eagles strengthened their throwing game only giving the ball up twice compared to 7-8 times a game. The team playing well around the quarterback allowed French success in this matchup. He had his season high of 19/28 with 2 passing touchdowns. There's still some work to get done, but I'm proud of the direction the Eagles have turned this thing.
JMU played like a group that hasnt seen the field in weeks. The Dukes were flat and only took an early 7-0 lead cause the Eagles tossed a pick 6. JMU's offense was in pedestrian mode all game long. There was no push at the line of scrimmage for a team allegedly rated higher than their opposition. JMU RB Pettaway gained only 73 yards on 26 carries and one TD. The GSU offense went up and down the field at will. If not for the turnovers JMU wouldnt have mustered much of anything on the scoreboard. By the second half this thing was on the verge of getting out of hand. A few scores in the 3rd by Georgia Southern put the game on ice.
Kudos coach. Made it feel like was plays Georgia and not Georgia Southern.
