Apology to USF Fans

Article By: usmarine7t

Dear USF Bulls Fans,

I want to take this opportunity to reach out and address the frustration and disappointment many of you may be feeling. A 2-1 start had us all filled with hope, yet here we are, three consecutive losses later, facing a difficult stretch ahead. I know how deeply you care about this team, and I want to acknowledge your unwavering support during a challenging time.

Our recent performance, particularly in this week’s 41-10 loss to UAB, was not what any of us envisioned. Junior QB Byrum Brown has had a rough start, struggling to find consistency. He’s barely eclipsed 200 passing yards across the last two games, and turnovers have unfortunately plagued his play, with nine interceptions adding to our challenges. These numbers don’t reflect his potential or the hard work he puts in every day. We know that improvement starts with leadership, and our coaching staff is actively addressing these issues with Byrum and the entire offense.

Our defense, too, was tested against UAB. UAB’s QB Jacob Zeno showed us what sharp execution looks like, managing a near-perfect game and making it clear where we must improve. His 267.3 QB rating stands as a reminder of the level we must rise to as we prepare to meet Tulane.

Moving forward, our focus is on the fundamentals, team cohesion, and a renewed dedication to disciplined football. With a 2-2 record, Tulane will be a formidable opponent, but our preparation and resolve are strong before the next game. We’re making adjustments on both sides of the ball, and we’re committed to putting a competitive, energized team on the field.

Thank you for your patience, your loyalty, and for sticking by us through thick and thin. We recognize that we owe you more, and as we work toward improvement, know that your support fuels our efforts to make you proud to wear green and gold.

With deep appreciation and determination,

Blazers Steam Rolls the Bulls

Article By: coachjackb

This is far and away the best game the University of Alabama at Birmingham has played all year long. On offense, Jacob Zeno dominated, going 16/20 for 289 yards and 4 touchdowns. The defense was stifling, holding the USF Bulls to less than 100 yards running and passing, and collecting 3 interceptions on Bulls quarterback Byrum Brown. After two gritty wins in a row, this was a nice sigh of relief to extend UAB's winstreak to 3.
