Michigan lines too much

Article By: hail_bowdown

The Illini dropped a 6th straight in Ann Arbor to the Wolverines today.

Illinois was outmatched in the trenches and speed in the secondary today as Michigan dominates in Ann Arbor.

Jr. QB Luke Altmeyer struggles again going for 10/23 141 yards 1 TD and 3 count em 3 interceptions. The lone TD came on a 73 yard in route from Pat Bryant who only caught the ball 3 times today but took two of them home 3-112-2.

Illini couldn’t find any footing in the ground with Michigans stout defensive front as their running game was shut down for under 25 yards total today. To compound matters Illinois receivers dropped a total of 5 balls today and we all know when you lose the turnover battles, running battle and drop balls. You lose.

Illini have ANOTHER tough test next week in Champaign against a high powered Oregon offense led by Dillon Gabriel and Jordan James.

Michigan Defense Steps up Big vs Illini

Article By: phreakk

Michigan relied heavily on their Defense to pull out a 30-13 Victory over Illinois. The Wolverines held the Illini to 22 yards on the ground, forced 3 interceptions, 1 sack on the day, and 6 pass deflections.

Coach Phreakk stated, "that Defense wins championships and when you have a dominant front 7, it makes it hard on the offense". Jaishawn Barham had 2 interceptions on the day.

On the Offensive side, Alex Orji was missing a shoe on the first offensive play that led to Davis Warren sneaking on to the field. On the first play Warren hit Donovan Edwards on a corner route for 79 yards and a TD. Walker led the team with 5 receptions and had a 103 yard kick return for a TD.

Great Game Hail, Best of luck the rest of the season.
