#4 Ranked Team Gets Upset by Wildcats

Article By: Eljefebigrump

Kentucky was able to keep their momentum rolling, into week 8 of season 30. They were able to take down the #4 ranked team in the Florida Gators, sealing the 6-point game, on a game winning diving interception. After going up 31-14 right before half, with a defensive touchdown for Kentucky, they started to look like the 2024-2025 eagles, and let the other team start to come back and have a chance at winning the game. Gavin Wimsatt didn't have the greatest of days, playing against a tough Florida defense. He put together multiple good scoring drives for the team, hitting Barion Bronw early in the game for a long touchdown on third and long, but only was able to hit his start receiver twice in this battle. He racked up 2 interceptions, being his first game with at least 1 interception this season. The defense stepped up massively, scoring touchdowns, forcing a fumble, and getting 4 interceptions, in huge spots in the game. This game showed to be one of the better games this season, but Kentucky knows that this isn't the end of the road, and they need to continue to ride their momentum with one of the tougher stretches in their schedule coming up, with texas, tennessee, and michigan state.

Good luck to Marion County and the Florida Gators

Diving interception while Florida was driving at the end of game crushed Gators!

4 Lagway INTs Doom Gators in Lexington!

Article By: MarionCounty

After a dominant performance against Tennessee at home last week, everyone at the University of Florida was riding high.

Those dreams were crushed in a shocking defeat to the Kentucky Wildcats. Turnovers were the story on the day as Florida matched their season total for turnovers with 5 in one game, with 4 INTs by DJ Lagway being the story of the day.

Florida had an opportunity to go ahead in the final two minutes of the game but Kentucky's star CB made a diving interception on an out-route to seal the game for the Wildcats.

Florida still controls its own destiny and can become SEC champions by winning out.

The Gators welcome rival Georgia to the Swamp next week and look to get back to on track.
