Another Conference Win for Kentucky

Article By: Eljefebigrump

Coming into this game, Kentucky was not taking Vanderbilt lightly, as they knew how important this rivalry win was. Not only was it their rival, but they needed this conference win on the season. They had all the confidence in the world but knew that it could get away from them really quickly if they didn't take this team seriously. They were able to lead the game from the first drive to the last, scoring 41 points in this one. The defense came up huge in this game, forcing 7 turnovers, a season high. Offense did not need to do much in this game having only about 200 yards in total, with Barion Brown leading the game in receiving yards with only 89 yards but tallying 3 touchdowns on his 4 catches. He was sure to make every catch meaningful. Gavin Wimsatt has still not thrown an interception in this season, taking over the starting QB role perfectly for the wildcats. Kristian Story was able to lead the defense with 2 interception on the day but no TDs. Deryk Jackson was the only one on defense to record a touchdown off of a fumble recovery in this one.

Good luck to Vanderbilt, and their coach for the rest of the season.

Kentucky routs Vandy

The Nate Johnson experience did not go as planned. The newly named full time starter Johnson definitely had the jitters as he threw 5 interception and fumbled 3 times losing 2 of them in a 41-14 loss to the Kentucky Wildcats. Johnson settled down as he threw and ran for a touchdown. Quest said, Johnson is our man for the rest of the season.
