Our defense played their asses off holding the Georgia superb tailback in check all game. But Delp made us pay, we couldn't cover that guy. Add in that our receivers could not get open and the QB made horrible decisions throwing the ball, it was a long day.
The Bulldogs of UGA went to face-off against the Bulldogs of MSU and a dog fight is how it started. Georgia comes out to start the game and after seeing the defense and making an adjustment Beck times his pass a little too late and first play of the game was a pick resulting in MSU going up 7-0. But that would be the only noise that Miss St would make as the Georgia defense made it hard for Miss St to move the ball walking away with 5 INTs on the day. That first pick would be the only negative for Beck today as he moved the ball very well today for the Bulldogs. It wasn't the best offensive performance by UGA but they made it through with a win. "This game showed up what changes need to be made before we face off against Texas and UF. Our team has more consistency than we showed today but we made plays when it mattered. We will need our defense to bring that same game the rest of the season." said Coach Cane after the game.
